Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of Principal
Dr. Satinder Kaur, the academic session 2026–27 was inaugurated with reverence and
enthusiasm at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd on 27th July, 2026. The session
commenced with the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib Pathh at the Gurdwara Sahib within the
college campus. Students actively participated in the Pathh and presented soulful Kirtan,
followed by Ardaas and the distribution of Prasad, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The Student Induction Programme was held at Guru Nanak Bhawan, marking a meaningful
beginning to the academic session with a sense of unity and purpose. During the induction
programme, the freshers were informed about the various clubs, societies and cells constituted
in the college to provide ample opportunities for honing their skills and showcasing their
talents. They were acquainted with the career guidance and placement initiatives,
entrepreneurship opportunities and various student support services aimed at making them
career-ready. The newcomers were further introduced to the Value Added, Skill Enhancement
Courses, Self-Study Courses and SWAYAM online programmes available to enrich their
academic learning and overall development. Subsequently, the students of all first-year classes
assembled in their respective departments, where the faculty members familiarized them with
the Programme Outcomes (POs) and Course Outcomes (COs) of their prescribed curriculum.
To celebrate the commencement of the new academic session, laddoos were distributed among
all students and staff members, adding to the joy and festive spirit of the occasion. Principal Dr.
Satinder Kaur commended Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Dr. Jasdeep Kaur and Prof. Karamdeep Kaur, the
incharges of the student induction programme for organising the programme successfully. The
event concluded on an optimistic and spiritually enriching note, inspiring the students to embark
upon their academic journey with confidence, dedication and a commitment to excellence.
