Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and the able guidance of
Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur, Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd celebrated
World Yoga Day on June 21, 2026 with great enthusiasm and dedication to
promoting physical, mental and spiritual well-being. This year’s International Yoga
Day was observed on the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”. The event was jointly
organized by the NSS Units, NCC Wing and the Red Ribbon Club of the college.
The celebration began with a Yoga Pledge to promote the significance of yoga in
personal and societal well-being. Afterwards, all participants engaged in a Common
Yoga Practice Session, performing various asanas, breathing techniques and
meditation exercises .Principal Dr. Satinder Kaur addressed the gathering and
lauded the spirit of participation. She emphasized the relevance of yoga in
achieving a balanced, healthy and peaceful life. The activities were jointly
coordinated by Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Dr. Amandeep Kaur (NSS Programme
Officers), Dr. Rampreet Kaur (NCC Incharge) and Prof. Hardeep Kaur (Red Ribbon
Club Incharge), who collectively encouraged students to adopt yoga as a way of life
and a tool for holistic well-being. The event witnessed active participation from
approximately 60 students and staff.
