Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd Organized Insightful Session on ‘Integral Humanism’ during Day 3 of FDP

 

Under the aegis of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust and able guidance of Principal Dr.
Satinder Kaur, the third day of the 7-Day Faculty Development Programme on “Indian
Knowledge Systems” was successfully organized on May 27, 2026 by the IQAC of Khalsa
College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd. The session was conducted in online mode and the link
for the online session was shared through various social media platforms to facilitate the
participation of faculty members and academicians. The resource person for the day was Prof.
(Dr.) Jatinder Grover, Chairperson, Department of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The session commenced with the formal welcome of the resource person by Principal Dr.
Satinder Kaur. The Resource person deliberated upon the theme “Integral Humanism: Meaning
and its Relevance in Contemporary Issues.” During his enlightening lecture, Prof. (Dr.) Jatinder
Grover elaborated upon the concept of Humanism, core principles and the philosophy of
Integral Humanism. He explained its various dimensions including physical, mental, intellectual
and spiritual dimensions, along with the fundamental principles associated with it. He
emphasized that Integral Humanism plays a significant role in shaping teachers as
compassionate, value-oriented and socially responsible educators who contribute towards the
holistic development of students. The session proved to be highly insightful and thought-
provoking for all the participants. An interactive question-answer session was also conducted at
the end of the lecture where participants actively interacted with the resource person and
clarified their queries. The online stage proceedings were carried out seamlessly by Prof.
Karamdeep Kaur.
