SGHGU HariTrust earned the pride of becoming the first Management in North India as well as in the state of Punjab to implement the merger of GHG Harparkash College of Education with Khalsa College for Women, SidhwanKhurd under its aegis according to the NEP 2020 policy offering interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary education in a single institution. This visionary endeavour was initiated by the worthy Management in the year 2022 in the light of contemporary demands in the higher education field for fulfilling future aspirations and with the intention of safeguarding the interests of the employees of stand alone College of Education. The relentless efforts led to the fruition of the plan when the Punjab Government issued a notification for merger on April 8, 2026. GHG Harparkash College of Education will now be subsumed under the tilte of Khalsa College for Women SidhwanKhurd.
