On April 2, 2024 World Autism Awareness Day was observed by the Education Department of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd under the able guidance of Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal (Addl. Charge). HoD, Darpan Center for Autism, Dr. Niranjan Kumar was the Resource person. Dr. Parmjit Kaur, HoD, Department of Education delivered the welcome address Dr. Niranjan Kumar said the purpose of celebration of the day is to create awareness and support special children. He shared information on techniques of speech therapy, Special Education, Occupational Therapy and specific evaluation strategies that can be employed. Dr. Amandeep Kaur thanked the guests for enlightening the audience about various facets of autism and encouraged the students to provide help to autistic people. Guests were felicitated. Prof. Bhagwant Kaur proposed formal vote of thanks.
